I need wine. Here’s why…

It’s Sunday, I’ve been up since 6 am and I’ve watched Boss baby, Paw Patrol, and PJ Masks more times than I would have liked. Currently I'm sitting on my couch looking out of the window dramatically trying to decide if its too early for a glass of Rose’. The responsible mom in me says “absolutely, way too early” however the mom who is counting down till nap time says “ it’s 5’oclock somewhere”. Moral is, I need wine, I love wine, wine is one of my best friends.   Although, before motherhood, drinking wine has always been a great past time of mine, having a kid has definitely tickled my interest in it even more.

Here are a few reasons why......

1. I need to vent and the only person around right now is two

2. Because I can only drink coffee in the morning

3. Drinking out of a wine glass makes me feel classy when I'm actually a hot mess at home, I mean what else am I gonna put in this fancy glass? water?

4. My husband just text me and told me it was gonna be a late work night for him, that calls for 3 glasses

5. The kid is sleep, the house is clean, the laundry is done and dinner is served that calls for a celebratory glass

6. Studies show that toddlers most used words are “No” and “Mine”, I can confidently say those studies are absolutely true :(

7. Hennessy and Dusse’ are too strong for a typical work night

8. What am I supposed to fill my flask with when we go on family outings?

9. The kid takes over my phone to watch cartoons and gives it back when the phone is dead

10. The daycare reminder that the high ass payment is due comes to my email weekly causes major anxiety

11. My kitchen floor is covered in permanent marker, I thought they were washable

12. I'm always tired but I drink wine to put me to sleep, makes sense?!

13. The kid thinks everything is a basketball hoop, the toilet, the pots on the stove, my glass of Rose’

14. He almost always poops right after the shower and right before we love home for school.

15. Because I’m always thirsty af and that’s my choice of quenching it! #Isaidwhatisaid
